WELCOME TO JOHN SKINNER (MANUFACTURING) LTD

At John Skinner Manufacturing Limited, we believe that every Classic Car restoration is unique.

Understanding the individuality of your project is crucial, and that’s exactly what we do — delivering a tailored service to meet your specific needs – regardless of if you are looking to restore your car to ‘Factory Original’ or looking for a more bespoke finish.

As a result, we take a very different approach to how to enquire with us…

We looking forward to hearing from you

At John Skinners, we are aware that our potential customers are of varying ages and differing confidence levels when using computer/technology. As a result we offer a number of ways to Contact Us & view our Parts & Prices to suit everyone…

Choose from one of the options below to begin your enquiry with us.

Appointments

Phone Call / Booking a Call-Back Appointment

We do not accept inbound phone calls — not because we don’t want to speak with you, but because we want to provide the most personalised and informative service possible before you place any orders. This ensures everything is perfectly suited to your restoration requirements.

If you’d like to discuss your specific needs with Jonathon, we offer a Call-Back Appointment Service, either by phone or via FaceTime/Zoom. This can be arranged once you’ve submitted your initial enquiry using any of the methods below.

This approach allows Jonathon to give every customer, regardless of the size of their project, a tailored & individual service.

Simply send us your enquiry to get started, and we’ll follow up to go into further detail.

Traditional Contact Forms & Catalogues

For those who may not be overly confident with online browsing, we offer two traditional options to help you get started with your restoration enquiry:

PDF Catalogues:
You can download and print our catalogues, which provide a basic overview of all the parts we offer, along with an initial pricing spectrum. It’s important to note that the prices in these catalogues reflect standard, non-customised parts. While they give you a good starting point, we can offer a fully customised service, with options for different materials, colours, and more. This catalogue serves as a helpful guide for those beginning to explore which parts they might need for their restoration. You then contact us via eMail or the Contact Form when you know the basics of what you are looking for.

Online Contact Form:
Our Contact Form is designed to guide you through a series of questions about your restoration needs. This helps us gain a general understanding of what you’re looking for. Once submitted, Jonathon will review your enquiry, put together a basic quote based on your initial requirements, and send it to you. From there, we can discuss any additional customisation or changes to refine your order.

Catalogue Best for:

Not suitable for:

Catalogue Best for:
Those familiar with traditional catalogue formats General browsing & reference Basic overview of parts with photo of each product Customers who do not like using computers to browse products
Not suitable for:
Those looking for In-depth descriptions & videos of each part Customer looking for accurate and in-depth pricing of specific 'custom/non-original' requirements

Online Product Browsing & Quote Building

For those comfortable with online browsing, we’ve implemented an online shop-style system designed to give you an in-depth look at all our parts and options.

The key difference is that you won’t be able to make a purchase directly through the website — this system is purely for building a quote and indicating to Jonathon the basics of your restoration requirements. However, it works exactly like any other online shop, offering detailed descriptions, photos, videos, material options, and pricing for each part.

You can add items to your quote (basket) just as you would when shopping online, but remember, no payment details will be requested. Instead, once your quote is submitted, Jonathon will review it and get in touch with you to discuss your project further and provide an updated quote. This process is completely free and obligation-free.

Our Build-A-Quote system offers three ways to browse and explore our parts:

Product Grid View:
A traditional grid-style ‘web shop’ layout, where products are displayed in a square grid for easy scrolling and browsing. You can filter products by category, allowing you to refine your search and find the exact parts you need.

Product List View:
A quick and efficient way to browse through all available parts in a list format, with brief descriptions, photos, and video links. This view allows for fast scanning and easy navigation to find the parts you’re interested in.

Interactive Schematic Diagram View:
For those using an iPad/Tablet or Computer – An interactive diagram that shows the layout of parts within the car. You can click on individual parts in the diagram, which will bring up all the available options, including pricing, materials, photos, and videos. This offers a more visual and interactive way of browsing parts as they relate to the car.

No matter which browsing method you choose, the process is simple and allows you to explore all available options in detail before submitting your quote to Jonathon.
