Got the door panels and armrest yesterday. The quality of the door panels is outstanding best I have seen and purchased the same items from Moss Motors and AH Spares in the past. Really like the backing you put on them where your hand would touch the backside when installed. Plus the fuzzy door seal is very nicely attached. Well done! I will put a comment on the British Car Forum website about your firm and recommend all consider John Skinner when redoing their Healey’s interiors…

…I worked with Jonathon Skinner. Very responsive and enjoyed working with him long distance. I purchased a seat kit and panel kit for my 1956 100M and very pleased with the product. I have used all the major suppliers for Healey’s, AH Spares, Moss and Heritage and I would put Skinner’s products up there with Heritage. Skinner cuts their seat bottoms and seat backs with enough material/leather/vinyl to work with where some of the others seem to cut it so close you don’t end up having enough material to pull the covers tight and get a proper fit. Leather was a high quality and aniline dyed. If you need red they do offer two reds and get samples as one is correct for Healey’s but the other has too much burgundy for Healey’s. Their door cards are the best I have found, better than Heritage. Think their pricing is good and the service was great so highly recommend them to you. If I ever do another Healey I will use Skinner.

Your advice – especially regarding using contact adhesive to get the seam anchored in position – got me thinking much more methodically about their application. This time the outcome is, I’m pleased to report (and speaking as a perfectionist!) perfect. I even got the beadings to line up perfectly with the joins between the rear trim panel and the two side panels. I keep sneaking out to the garage to get the feel good feeling of a job well done, and almost wish I had another one to do so I could photograph the sequence for you.

The top flap looks great, I think this is a great addition. Its an addition you should keep in your product range, more and more people on the forums are asking who can supply hoods with these flaps and I’m happy to mention your company. The springs look good too, I have seen several ones with different quality, but the springs are quite robust on these ones.

All items look “FANTASTIC”. You’re right, the colors do compliment each other and they go really well with the paint color of the car.

My wife and I drove up to Portland, Oregon, to the 41st annual “All British Field Meet” which consisted of only British cars. There were over 850 vehicles in attendance and it is a 2-day event. In the Austin Healey Class, I took “1st Place” Peoples Choice Award. I was also presented with a ribbon, “The Queens Award” – there were only 2 of these were given out in the whole show. They are given to cars that represent the best quality of restoration and attention to detail. I got one and the other was given to a gentleman with a 1939 Jaguar.

Thank you once again for the pride in craftsmanship that is evident in your trim work. People really notice and I gladly mentioned your name when asked. The car gathers attention where ever it goes, and I’ve had a lot of compliments on the whole interior trim package both for the fit and finish as well as the quality of the upholstery itself.

Since we started restoring the Triumph TR range in 1983, we have ALWAYS used John Skinner for our re-trim and carpet sets. I would rather apologise for the price than attempt to apologise for poor quality or fit. These kits are and have always been just right. We have seen many other trim and carpet kits and remain convinced that John Skinner sets are best in terms of quality, fit and longevity, especially as we are now refreshing vehicles we restored in the 80’s and the trim and carpets still look good.
