Our Notable Restorations

26th OCT 2022

Reading time: 4 minutes

From the Jaguar E-Type Cut 7 to the first production Triumph TR TS01, we have been the choice for many notable restorations.

Our interiors have been featured in ‘perfect score’ Concours d’Elegance award winners and appeared throughout F1 Grand Prix Drivers’ Parades.

With our worldwide reputation, we are known throughout the industry to provide the expertise, in-depth knowledge and attention to detail that these historic and high-profile restorations demand. Here are some highlights of noteworthy restorations that John Skinner trim has been a part of.

King Carl XVI Gustaf's Daimler Princess

In 2018, we were extremely privileged to be contacted to contribute Grey Wool Carpet material towards the restoration of the Daimler Princess belonging to the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf.

Richard Hammond's Jaguar XK150 FHC

In the summer of 2020, we were approached by Neil & Anthony Greenhouse of Tram Inn Garage in Herefordshire who were undertaking the extensive restoration of Richard Hammond’s Jaguar XK150 FHC. We manufactured a complete interior trim kit in Smooth Cherry Red Leather, which included a bespoke fire extinguisher cover. It was an exciting project for us to be involved in, especially when we saw Jonathon and our factory unit featured on Richard Hammond’s Drive Tribe! Triumph TR2 ‘Jabbeke’
