Nylon

Our tufted nylon is a man-made material that offers an affordable option for those not wanting to go to the expense of wool. With a deep pile of 100% polypropylene fibres and a rubber backing, it is flexible, durable and hard wearing.

Typically, many of our customers will consider nylon for the Boot / Trunk areas of their cars – and although we do make plenty of main cockpit carpets in nylon, we make a huge number more in wool. If it is quality of material, finished look and durability that you are looking for, we would always recommend the Wool option – it is superior in all of these areas.

It is worth noting that our wool and nylon carpets are made by different manufacturers and therefore the colour range between the two varies quite significantly – so it is best to try and avoid mixing between the two materials in the same restoration where possible.
