1959 saw the Abingdon built Two Seater Convertible Austin Healey BN7 introduced under the generic name of the Healey 3000 Mark 1. The Austin Healey 3000 models reflected an increase in engine size, amongst other changes. Produced during 1959, 1960, and 1961 the BN7 model saw 2,825 Mark 1 models produced, with a further 355 Mark II models being made during 1961 and 1962.
