Welding to original specification.
In our workshop, we have original specification HF/RF (High Frequency Radio Frequency) weld tools for the Jaguar Saloon, Austin Healey 3000 Mark 3 BJ8 & Triumph TR models.
We are one of the only companies in the world to have the original template designs for these cars and offer the welded finish as standard in our kits.
Made from brass, these tools are used with our HF welder to emboss patterns into vinyl based seat and panel work for an ‘as original’ finish. By fusing together vinyl and foam under high heat and pressure, our welded seats and panels are made to last with defined weld lines manufactured to original specification that will endure for years.
Jaguar HF Weld Tooling
The Jaguar saloons displayed weld lines across their door panels in a variety of designs depending on the model. We have original specification weld tooling for the MK2, Daimler V8 250, MK10 420G and S-Type 420, in addition to the XJ-6 and XJ-12 models. We can weld both vinyl and leather door panels.
Austin Healey HF Weld Tooling
For Austin Healey 3000 Mark 3 BJ8 restorations, we have original specification weld tooling for use across seats and panels. On these cars, the Quarter B Post Panels and Rear Seat Backrests feature a large square weld pattern, whilst the front and rear seats feature a small offset square weld design. This is original for vinyl based seats and panel work, and we can manufacture these parts to original production line specification. We can also offer a welded finish on leather panel work for our customers wishing to upgrade from vinyl.
Triumph TR HF Weld Tooling
Weld lines were a common feature across many of the Triumph TR models. The Triumph TR3A had a welded Rear Bulkhead, whilst the Triumph TR4, TR4A, TR5, TR250 and TR6 models had welding across Doors, Pockets, Quarter Panels and Bulkheads, with a diamond pattern seat welding specific to the TR5, TR250 and TR6 ranges. We manufacture all vinyl Triumph TR interiors to original specification with our dedicated tooling, and we can also apply our welding to leather based panel work.
Welded Leather
We have engineered our weld tooling for leather and offer the welded leather finish as part of our Bespoke service – you can read more about this here.
