The six-year period between 1963 to 1968 saw the mass production of possibly the most famous of the Austin Healey cars – the 3000 Mark 3 BJ8. It was a 4 Seater Convertible and featured slightly modified trim, including the introduction of embossed “welded” patterns on the Vinyl Seats and Quarter Panels. A total of 17,712 BJ8 cars were produced, with approximately 1,390 being classified as Phase 1, and the rest as Phase 2 models.

A note on Piping/Beading
Austin Healey BJ8 models originally featured a unique Silver/Black “Chrome” Piping on the Ambla (Vinyl) versions of their Seats; or a matching Piping to the main trim colour for all LeatherFaced/Leather versions.
