In August 1955 the Austin Healey BN2 (100-4) model was introduced by Donald Healey at the Longbridge factory production line. The main difference from its predecessor was the gearbox clutch housing which changed the styling of the carpet around this area. Production ran from 1955 to July 1956, during which time approximately 3,924 (Robson, 1981) and 4,604 (Clausager, 1990) were delivered.
