Perhaps the main door casing assembly panels have stood the test of time well…but the door pockets are a little worse for wear? No problem, we can supply the pre-assembled door pockets for your Triumph TR2 / TR3.

During the nine-year period between 1953 and 1962, all of the 80,000+ Triumph TR2, TR3 and TR3A/B cars that left the production line were fitted with a millboard pocket accessible through a recessed hole cut-out in the door casing assembly panel. This millboard pocket stayed consistent in its design between the TR2 and TR3 cars, but was altered slightly for the later TR3A/B models, to allow for the change in door opening mechanism on the later cars. Before the age of sat-nav GPS devices and smart-phones – pockets like these were ideal for storing an ordnance survey map for planning your trip, or perhaps getting your “un-lost”! These days, they can be used to store your mobile cell phone or perhaps some leather driving gloves and goggles.

These door pockets were completely enclosed once attached to the Door Panel, allowing only access from the hole in the main door panel casing. They were flocked with a thin layer of small microfibre particles, in a matching or complementary shade to the main trim colour.

Our pockets are templated using the original factory designs – and have been tried and tested for decades on thousands of cars around the world. We use the correct thickness millboard material, and supply these fully riveted together ready to be fitted to the door panel cards. Note that if you purchase our Door Panel Kit, these pockets are already pre-assembled and attached to the Doors in that set. We can offer the flocked finish in a limited number of shades, or we offer these parts trimmed in vinyl to exactly match your main trim colour. DETAILS

  • Available in a Flocked finish (limited colours), or trimmed in Vinyl (Amble) or Moquette.
  • Backing boards are pre-cut on our in-house CNC machine using automotive-grade 1.5mm fibre millboard, and creased and riveted to create the shape of the pocket.
  • Backing board includes pilot holes attachment to the door casing panels.
  • Correct “fully enclosed” shape relevant for the TR2 and TR3 range, which differs from the later TR3A / TR3B models.
